Welcome to the website of Alba Percussion. Based in Fauldhouse, West Lothian, Alba Percussion is owned and operated by Callum and Julie Firth.
As well as creating our own range of innovative products Alba Percussion also supply other manufacturers items making us a one-stop shop for the modern pipe band.  Callum, is the current Leading Drummer of the Grade 2 World Championship Drum Corps Torphichen and Bathgate Pipe Band and is assisted by Julie as his flank drummer. Over the past few seasons Callum and Julie have guided the Torphichen and Bathgate Pipe Band drum corps to the following achievements in Grade 2:
- 2008 British Champion Drum Corps
- 2007 European Champion Drum Corps
- 2007 Scottish Champion Drum Corps
- 2006 World Champion Drum Corps and Bass Section
- 2005 Champion of Champions
- 2005 Scottish Champion Drum Corps
Both Callum and Julie developed as drummers through the legendary Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band teaching system under the leadership and guidance of Leading Drummers Tom and Gordon Brown.
Before moving to Torphichen and Bathgate Pipe Band in 2004, Callum was Leading Drummer with the Boghall and Bathgate Grade 2 band and Julie was competing in the Boghall and Bathgate Grade 1 where she was part of the corps that won both the Grade 1 World Championship Drumming title and the Grade 1 Cowal Championship title in 2001.
Callum and Julie have found over their years drumming, that existing market products always had some basic design flaws which inspired them to create a series of their own products that have been used with Torphichen and Bathgate Pipe Band. They hope that you will also see the benefits of these products and the reasons they brought them to the marketplace.
As well as their range of inspiring products Callum and Julie also offer teaching services to individuals and complete corps covering snare drum as well as bass and tenor drum, score writing services for snare drum as well as bass and tenor drum and their new music book covering a range of scores used at Torphichen and Bathgate Pipe Band.
